Vidic To Barcelona - Not Going To Happen

Rumours resurfaced about Nemanja Vidic's alleged desire to move to Spain - more precisely, about his wife's yearning for warmer climates. His agent allegedly told a Catalan radio station that Vidic was keen on a move to Barcelona.

The claims were swiftly denied but many believe there is truth in the rumours. However, it is not gonna happen, even if Ana Vidic is indeed fed up with gloomy England. Quite simply, there is no replacement available on the market at the moment so Vidic won't be allowed to leave, even if he begs to do so.

But he's much more professional than that. A transfer could happen in the future but not now when we have no chance to replace one of the most important players of the team, which is already short on the kind of quality required to win the league for the fourth time in a row.

And as for those who attribute Vidic's current absence to something more sinister than an injury - I'd say forget it. He's not that type of player. If he's told to stay - and he was told that, I'm sure - he would accept it and play, with the same determination and commitment that we come to expect of him. End of story.

This team and league is just tailor made for him, there is no need for him to change anything. He is rated very highly by the manager,by the fans,by his teammates and he earns good wages as well.On the pitch I don't think he can have any complains but off the pitch, thats something only vidic and his family knows?

Ask yourself this, where would you rather live?In grey, wet Manchester,or beautiful, sunny Barcelona, playing for the best team in the world,in the best city in the world....tough one.

Although I'm a utd supporter,it doesn't have anything to do with my answer.I would prefer manchester because its just the climate I would prefer living in.Anyway thats just my choice and Vidic doesn't have to stay in manchester for his entire life.Once he is done with football,he can settle down in any part of the world.
