Fergie Expects Great Atmosphere At Burnley

Fergie Expects Great Atmosphere At Burnley

Sir Alex believes that United will encounter a brilliant atmosphere at Burnley. However, he thinks we've got nothing to fear from it as we've got the necessary experience to deal with it.

'There will be a red hot atmosphere awaiting us at Burnley, but hopefully our experience will see us through.

'Burnley is a fantastic story, 33 years out of the top-flight is a long time. No matter what happens this season, they won't forget this.'

No, they won't, but considering how crap the atmosphere is at most Premier League grounds these days (yes, Old Trafford included, unfortunately), it might just be that our players will relish the change.

I've not seen any of the game so I won't comment on the performance, but looking at the team we put out - why use Park and Giggs as starters? why is Carrick taking penalties? I have never liked the idea of giggs, park and scholes playing in anything other than desperate circumstances and michael carrick has never exactly appeared to have balls of steel - surely Anderson is the man on set pieces now? Why didn't Valencia start? Where's Tosic? Even without seeing the performance, surely Fergie has some questions to answer regarding his team selection?

in the last few minutes i saw it truely looked like we were a one man team were rooney was the one with any vision and creativity and was the one who is trying to break burnley one of the many problems with that is that no one from united was up to par with him and couldn't finish his moves....I don't know but we definitely need sorting out....i'm the sure the media are gonna have their fill with this....but i'm not panicking just yet

Based on the score, I actually thought we would have been worse. We've played worse than that and won. Great hit from blake though!
