'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fletcher Is Next Who Put United First

Darren Fletcher decided against asking to be left out of the Community Shield in order to be able to team up with the Scotland squad earlier. United's 25-year-old Scot will captain his country on Wednesday in a World Cup qualifier in Norway but that's no reason for him to miss the curtain raiser of the new campaign.

'There`s nobody more committed to his country than Darren Fletcher,' Scotland coach George Burley said.

'He`s obviously been faced with a difficult situation, the chance to play at Wembley in a team where competition for places is fierce.

'I`m sure many other players would have taken the same decision.

'He`ll join us up at the team hotel on Sunday and he`ll captain us as we look to get the three points we all want so much in Norway.'

In all probability Scotland won't make the World Cup but with question marks all over Hargreaves Fletcher could yet again play a vital role in United's season. So no surprise that he decided as he did, really.

Exactly Zae,fletch will play a key role once again with hargo out till december and the last thing we want is having him injured in an international game. Also if he continues to progress from where he left off then who knows we might never miss hargo.

He'll play a vital role for you that's for sure, but will Johny Evans be off to Barca? Looks like yoonited are becoming a bit of a selling club these days.
