Eckersley Signs For Burnley

Richard Eckersley has turned down Manchester United's contract offer and signed a four-year deal at Burnley where he can join up with former team-mate Chris Eagles. The clubs are yet to agree a compensation fee which is mandatory because of Eckersley's age.

The young full-back never had a chance of making it at Old Trafford but I hope he'll develop into a player of Premier League quality, just as Eagles did. Good luck at Turf Moor, Richard!

Good luck 2 him, he would not of got many games, we got so many good young players in his position so all the best, good to see the lad is more interested in playing every week than being a cup player 4 us shows he has real ambition to play the game not count his money on the bench, plus if he does turn out to be the best full back ever we will just buy him back ha ha
