Tevez, Pay Attention: Fergie Shows Class

Tevez, Pay Attention: Fergie Shows Class

Despite Tevez's constant public whining, despite his allegations against Sir Alex, despite his constant slating of the club, the boss did not descend to his level. Sir Alex revealed that he had expected Tevez to leave since January.

'Maybe in January because I spoke to him and gave him an offer, I think it was on Inter Milan night and he never came back to me.

'I rang him on holiday, texted him twice and he never got back to me, so he had made his mind up.

'But he was a good player and he did well for us. It was a good arrangement for two years where we could assess the situation and he assessed us and he obviously wanted to go somewhere else and we wish him well.'

That's how a parting should be conducted, dear Carlos. With all your talk about respect, in this case only one party showed that - and it wasn't you.

Good riddance to the whining blue nosed lady of the night. My number 32 shirt will never see the light of day again. You're a disgrace Carlitos and a greedy spoilt brinksman. You'll see just how you've killed our respect for you when you come back to OT with the oil sullied Banana Huggers FC m8.

The Inter Milan away game was at the end of February, with the Old Trafford leg in March, so how does Ferguson say that he thought Tevez would leave in January if he gave him the offer on the day of the game? Either Ferguson been drinking too much that he can't tell which game is which anymore or the offer was made in March, not January, and since the transfer window was closed at the time then Tevez's transfer couldn't have been completed until the summer. If that's the case, then how did he know that Tevez would leave in January?

the deal could have been done in february, we werent dealing with a club. we could have made a verbal agreement. i am thankful he didnt stay, apart from his work rate he was very average. and if we had signed him then we couldnt have bough a goal poacher...i was hoping the goal poacher would be someone more exciting then owen but if owen stays fit he will score goals

Ferguson shows his class by accusing a player of agreeing a deal back in Jan. You lot really struggle with the definition of the word 'class'.

Regardless of what you think of Tevez vs Fergie, the real reason you did not sign him up is because it would have used your entire summer transfer budget. It really is time for you united fans to wake up and smell the coffee - the Glazers and their debt are killing your club, and whilst I still think you will be in the top 4 for the next few seasons at least, you are not going to replace the likes of Giggs, Scholes and Neville with youth players. Face it, you are in denial and the next few seasons will be crucial to whether or not you can retain your status as one of the top teams in the world.
