Fraizer Campbell Set To Join Sunderland

After all the talk about going to Hull City, it looks like that Fraizer Campbell is joining Sunderland to play under the guidance of old United hero Steve Bruce. The young striker, unfortunately, has no future at Old Trafford but a move to a Premier League club could be a good opportunity for him.

The fee is thought to be either 3.5m or 5m - reports disagree in this case but it hardly matters. It looks clear that the players' choice was to join Sunderland as Hull made a bigger bid than either of these - yet their managed Phil Brown admitted defeat.

So, what will Sunderland get for their money? A lightning-quick, determined striker with very good finishing skills. He needs a little bit extra muscle and sadly, he's a tad one dimensional but I believe he'll cut it in the Premier League. He was never going to get ahead of Macheda or Welbeck, never mind Berbatov and Rooney but Sunderland, with Brucey there, might just be the perfect place for him.

Yes Steve has done a fantastic job at wigan and he really made them a tuff unit to beat and getting the best out of most of their players,so in a way it does not surprise me that he has decided to go to the stadium of light.
