Eto'o And Huntelaar Rumours Gathering Pace

OK, I was convinced that with Owen, Valencia and Obertan signed we're done with strengthening the attacking department. The papers do not think so: rumours regarding Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Samuel Eto'o just won't go away.

About Real Madrid's Dutchman: AC Milan declared they were not interested in him anymore as they are negotiating only with Luis Fabiano of Sevilla, another player who was linked to United. Spanish papers believe this opens the door to United who are still interested in the forward. He's not my cup of tea so I hope these rumours prove unfounded.

The Eto'o thing is very hard to believe: some of the more obscure Spanish sites and papers circulate that he's about to join United very soon after turning down offers from his current club Barcelona and City. According to these not very credible sources (like terra.es) he's set his heart on a 25m move to Manchester United.

Well, there you go, rumour round-up of the day. Personally I still believe we won't sign more strikers but then I was convinced we would never go for Michael Owen so my opinion is irrelevant. We'll see what happens but I won't hold my breath.

5 strikers is enough. I'd rather we didn't turn into one of those clubs that signs up kids and then never gives them a chance to play - Welbeck and Macheda need chances to wet their feet and the players we have now allow for that. Huntelaar would be the biggest waste of money (for our team - might do fine somewhere else) as he isn't better than the three senior strikers we have and Eto'o can only cause problems for team morale both with his attitude and the fact that he would guarantee that berba, owen, macheda and welbeck were benched.

I might sound a bit funny but when,I read the rumour about costa still harbouring hopes of joining us,I was really happy but suddenly this lad davide petrucci came into my mind and I thought do we really require this guy?I know some might say that he is too young but u just have to look at macheda's development and we can really do the same with davide and bring him slowly into our team. Why do we have to spend an extra 10-15million on costa when we might have the next paul scholes already at old trafford.

Sorry about the spelling mistake but now to our striking department,I really do not understand this, there is no need for us to go for anyone else.I guess it would make a lot more sense if the press linked a striker with arsenal, liverpool or chelsea. For me our squad is complete, all we have to do is give the young ones some time along with our senior squad,it would bode well for our future.

Yeah, I'm not keen on getting Costa - we have more than enough wingers and strikers now. A DM might be needed depending on whether Hargreaves will be fit before christmas but every other position is fine.
