Benzema Could Leave; Insane Vucinic Rumour

Lyon coach Claude Puel confirmed that Karim Benzema would be allowed to leave if he expressed his desire to join a big club. The club and the coach confirmed that no offer has arrived for the young French striker yet but they are prepared to consider a suitable bid.

Puel added that it would be important to buy one or two players of high quality if Benzema were to leave Lyon. Reports suggest that he's almost certain to leave the French club this summer, despite previous assurances that he would be happy to stay for another year but his most likely destination is not Manchester United: Real Madrid are in pole position to sign him, unsurprisingly. How I wish they had signed David Villa...

Another rumour is doing the rounds and it's crazy enough to chill the blood: United are allegedly interested in Roma striker Mirko Vucinic. Well, I have no problem with him apart from the fact that he's mediocre, doesn't have any outstanding quality and no better than Welbeck or Macheda. Fortunately, there's an altogether more likeable report: that which claims Vucinic prefers to stay in Italy.

Has Villa gone anywhere yet? Cos if we don't get Benzema I'd have him....we need another winger or two; a striker would be a bonus, but with Berbatov, Rooney, Macheda and Welbeck we could possibly cope or reinforce in January. But really hope we get someone (good)...

Isn't your poll a bit old?...

Vucinic is a good player, hes more in the poocher mould. Villa hasn't decided where he'll go yet,
Paulinho
Football Manager says he is great - and if he's good enough for them and the daily star then he's good enough for me! ;)
tuscan3000
Oh i hope you sign Vucinec now lol!
HuddersfieldYiddo
I hope you sign Marcus Berg yiddo! He could be a really good player for us in a couple of years! :)
tuscan3000
Hmmm... Pjanic (Benzemas Team mate) seems to think that Benzema is definately on his way to old trafford for 45M euros. Will be interesting to see if hes right!
tuscan3000
Seriously tuscan that news too,has caught my attention.Oh God I hope its true.

As far as vucinic is concerned,I don't think he is a bad player infact he is way better than that and if we play with only 2 strikers, then we will require at least one to accept the bench job and I don't think vucinic would command a regular spot,so everything would be fine.

Thats Valencia in the bag then! ....Next!

A lot of people really want to poll their opinions on United don't they! I think the next poll should be "should Vital Man United change their poll?". I'm gonna vote no, just to annoy all the *****s that keep asking for it to change! :)
tuscan3000
Lets keep our poll as is it gives a lot of the mediocre teams fans something to talk about. As for transfers we should take a punt on Robben he'd be fairly cheap as Madrid want rid of him maybe Huntelaar for the off the bench role again fairly cheap, I'd like our centre of midfield to be improved I've never been a fan of Carrick, Scholes is getting on, Fletchers a good sub and although I like Hargreaves and would have him in the team he's been injured for the best part of 2 years maybe Silva from Valencia for his creativity and someone who can tackle and spot/snuff out danger, a fit Hargreaves would do. Obviously Benzema would be welcome too.Valencias a decent start. Its seems a lot but we do have a lot of dough and we are one of, if not, the biggest club in the world and we could afford to let a few squad players go, i.e Nani, Campbell, maybe Gibson and so on. But Fergie knows what he's doing.

Some reports seem to suggest the Madrid are gonna annouce the signing of Benzema in a few hours! Damn those guys are good!
