It looks like Carlos Tevez is eager to lose the respect of Manchester United fans after insisting several times how much he loved them. Now he hit out at Fergie for not starting him at Rome against Barcelona.
'You cannot argue with Alex Ferguson,' he said.
'He is like the president of England. It is impossible. You always lose. But he made a mistake to leave me on the bench. That was the only final the team had lost since I had been at Manchester United.'
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Tevez introduced after 45 minutes? And what difference did he make? Nothing at all, precisely. Why? Because A) he's not good enough to turn around a Champions League final against Barcelona and B) his presence on the pitch still did not improve our midfield which was the prime reason of our defeat.
By the way, I remember the earlier finals in which Tevez played. He missed two great chances in Moscow; he was crap in the Carling Cup final at Wembley; he was invisible against LDU Quito in Japan. So what exactly makes him say he would have done a better job than Rooney, Park or Giggs? His delusions, that's what.
By the way, Tevez tells us what a terrible time he had at United.
'My family knows how much I suffered at United. I could not arrive home after a match or a training session and forget my pain. It was not good and I transmitted all my sadness to them.'
It must be horrible to play 51 games in the red shirt of Manchester United in one season, starting 34 and being in the starting line-up in a Champions League semi-final, two league games against arch-rivals Liverpool and a home derby against City, not to mention a cup final. I really, really understand his horrible pain and suffering; after all, he was paid only about 90,000-a-week for all these gruesome experiences.
Really, Carlos, you should keep your mouth shut because you're becoming embarassing. More and more a Citeh player by every passing day.
