Lyon Would Sell Benzema To United

Lyon Would Sell Benzema To United

Lyon start to look somewhat suspicious: they repeated several times that though they do not wish to sell Karim Benzema they would consider a suitable offer. Now it was Bernard Lacombe's turn to assure us that enough cash would indeed turn their head - is it possible that they actually want to cash in on him?

'He is with us, but nobody knows what will happen,' Lacombe told Progres.

'We didn't think Michael Essien would leave at the time, but when Chelsea arrived with the cheque...

'If Manchester who as we know have plenty of cash available, came and said we want to buy Benzema, what can you do? Not much.'

As you know, on the continent people regularly refer to our club as 'Manchester', being unaware of the existence of that massive institution at the Eastlands. For me, it definitely looks like an invitation: a good enough bid and he's ours. Will Fergie make his move? And of course there's still the little problem that he prefers Real Madrid... I somehow can't imagine him ending up at Old Trafford.

This is a huge statement and I hope we can tempt Lyon with a bid!

FU,yes it would be good to put in a bid but the most important thing as Zae has rightly pointed out is whether this guy wants to play for utd or not, whether he fancies the physical side of the premiership, plus he might even have to sit on the bench at times as we have some quality strikers. So there is a long way to go before we get this guy.

Plus with this statement a lot of clubs with unlimited cash will be monitoring this situation,so whatever has to happen, has to happen quickly.

"I somehow can't imagine him ending up at Old Trafford." That is the final words in this article by Zae. Since i'm new here, i would like to know. Is Zae a Manchester United supporter? He does at least seem to have very negative attitude. Both in this article and the article "Main Transfer Targets Are Out Of United's Reach". Why should we be pessimistic? We are after all Champions of England and of the world! I'm sure we can sign 99,9% of the players in the world. Just it's a matter of balance (financially and regardin to the team). Something Sir Alex Ferguson already has shown he is more than capable of handling!

The rate of Sterling v the Euro and English tax laws could really ***** up our plans for the summer look at Arshavin he's earning less after tax than he was in Russia, but in saying that Benzema would be a good signing if he fancies it as would Robben and Sneijder at 18 million for the 2 but its early days yet so lets not worry Fergie knows what he's doing. And as bogiha says we are Man Utd, champions of England not some mid table crap put it this way most teams would be happy to finish 2nd to Barca in Europe we're not lets not worry too much about Madrid they'll implode quick enough like they always do.

Who would want to join a club where all the best players are jumping ship? Rooney will be next, won't he?

Personally, I agree with Zae. Yes, we're a big club but we're not the only one. Fernando Torres says he woulh have only left spain for liverpool for example; its naive to think that we can sign everyone just because we are Man Utd. I'm not saying you shouldn't hope or that we don't have a chance but; having already stated he prefers madrid and with madrid splashing the cash it seems unlikely; even if it does happen. Personally, with Welbeck and Macheda in the ranks, I'd rather sign someone who would be more willing to accept rotation so that these two can develop, but I'd not be disappointed if we did get him.

We seem to be losing everyone at the moment, and i sincerely hope fergie's got something planned. Rooney would never leave - why do you think no one ever asks about his availability? Because they know he wouldn't want to go. I still stick by my 3 signings of Benzema, Young and Valencia, as well as giving the likes of Tosic, Macheda and Welbeck a go, but I do just wonder if we'll get ANYbody. Next season could either go very well or very badly in the absence of Tevez and Ronaldo and i'm yet to be convinced either way.
