United To Start At Home To Birmingham City

At the first glance, the 2009/10 fixture list doesn't have the imbalanced nature of last season's: United have been handed a reasonable run of fixtures.

The Champions start at home to promoted Birmingham City on August 15 and two weeks later we entertain Arsenal in the first 'big' game of the season. We travel to Liverpool on October 24 and host the dippers on March 20. April 3 will see us at home to Chelsea while our trip to Stamford Bridge will take place on November 7.

City will come to Old Trafford on September 19, the return fixture being played on April 17. April is our toughest month anyway: it includes the visit of Chelsea, a trip to Eastlands, an always tricky away fixture at Blackburn and a home game against Spurs.

Well, this is it. Up for the fourth in a row!

April's tough, very tough. But to be fair, at that stage of the season, all the games are difficult with nearly everyone fighting for something. Not a bad list on the whole...we can have no complaints in terms of the fixtures for our form - and we haven't got to miss games to go to the Club World Cup etc, one benefit of not winning the Champions League (albeit a small one) so we can concentrate on the league and not always be playing catch-up.

Its nice not to think about games in hand.

Without knowing who any of the top 4 will sign, I'm going to predict (based on thte fixtures) that the league will finish as follows: 1st - Man Utd, 2nd - Chelsea, 3rd - Liverpool, 4th - Arsenal

Or maybe it will end like this: 1st - Chelsea, 2nd - Liverpool, 3rd - Man Utd, 4th Arsenal. You don't have Ronaldo anymore. You will miss at least 6 goals on set pieces because of him leaving. And you will not have Tevez as an impact sub anymore. Good luck!

You guys have a decent fixture list!

Hopefully we will atleast win our first game of the season in the opening fixture.
