Lyon Are Not Desperate To Sell Benzema

Lyon Are Not Desperate To Sell Benzema

Most of the media reported that 'Karim Benzema is going nowhere'. While it is possible Lyon said nothing of the sort; indeed, they indicated that they might be persuaded to part with their biggest asset if the right offer comes in.

'The fax is not overheating,' sporting director Bernard Lacombe told le Dauphine Libere.

'Even if you should never say never in football, there is a lot of noise about nothing at this moment.

'The idea is still to keep Karim for another season.'

I'm pretty certain that they won't simply close the door if Sir Alex, as expected, makes an offer for the young Frenchman. Having said that, I still don't expect him to end up at Old Trafford - mainly because he prefers Spain.

Benzema is a great player. I think he's better equipped for the EPL than Aguero, certainly. Hopefully you won't get him at he'll come to Chelsea!
