Campbell Set To Join Hull City

Campbell Set To Join Hull City

It looks like Fraizer Campbell's Old Trafford career is over: United have accepted a 6m bid from Hull City for the Huddersfield-born youngster.

Campbell who spent the last season at Spurs didn't light up the pitch there, apart from a great performance in the Carling Cup against Liverpool. His quick and mobile but first team opportunities were few and far between for him at Old Trafford and with the emergence of Welbeck and Macheda he was always going to be a sixth or seventh choice.

In the circumstances his move to Hull (which is not confirmed yet as the player is yet to agree terms) makes perfect sense: he had an excellent season with the Tigers in the Championship in 2007/08 and is more than capable of delivering the goods there. Good luck, Fraizer!

Disappointed, but it's the best move for Campbell. True, if we've got Ronaldo, Berbatov, Rooney, Tevez, Macheda, Welbeck that would do me fine... now to keep them all :P

He is too good to be wasting in the reserves so a move is in his best inertest.
