United Sign Record Sponsorship Deal With Aon
United make the most of their on-field success off it: after announcing that the shirt sponsorship deal with AIG won't be extended the club found a new sponsor: Aon, the world's leading risk advisor and human capital consultant company.
The deal is reportedly worth £80m over four seasons which is a world record: not even T-Mobile pay as much to Bayern Munich.
David Gill said: 'Today's announcement clearly strengthens our position as one of the biggest clubs in world football.
'We look forward to being closely aligned with the world leader in risk management, a firm which shares our values and is an exciting partner for Manchester United.'
This is business talk of course but what is important for us is that Aon's logo will be on the shirt from the 2010/11 season - AIG keeps its place on the kit for the next campaign. Considering that a new kit is coming out this summer, it is a tad strange, from a commercial point of view...
This is the Aon logo by the way. You like it? Looks better than AIG.
