'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Thank You Lads, You Made Us Proud This Season

Barcelona deserved to win the Champions League. But that does not mean that our lads don't deserve praise: they do.

I, for one, would like to say 'thank you' to every player, coach and staff member who contributed to another memorable season. The players gave their all, we had some fantastic games and we were rewarded with some truly lasting memories.

Thanks, everyone, for the effort and the success of the entire season! We lost tonight, yes, but we can hold our heads high and rightly say that the team we support is a fantastic one.

I'm still proud to be a Manchester United fan and for me that's the most important. We'll be back next season.

the team were outclassed - amazing when you think of the money spent on the United squad. Fergie bullies the premier league teams where he can spend more money on the best players but is often shown up when on a more level playing field.
Alex Ferguson got his selection all wrong tonight, he should of picked Howard Webb
You're all so funny. Not.
Well, I'm laughing. Three petulant, out-of-control yellow cards after Messi's goal says it all - classless. Forever in our shadow. 5 TIMES. 5 TIMES. Biggest, richest, whatever, never ever the GREATEST. Live with it.
Man Utd were robbed in not being able to field Howard Webb I demand a rematch.
Its hard to be too down about this. We waited 10 years for Sir Alex to get a 2nd, so we can hardly complain about not getting another 12 months later. Next season we'll have the squad to mount an even better challenge, without having to worry about super cups and world club championships. Also, Carrick, Hargreaves, Rio, Rooney, Neville and Welbeck will all be less fatigued for the world cup - which is a bonus for everyone that supports England!
You know you are you SCUM and you know you are your SCUM

Hard luck fellas. If you had scored first it would have been a different game. As it was the early goal gave them the confidence and belief they needed. Even if you had equalised as you might have done early in the 2nd half I am not sure they wouldn't have wobbled. It's a knockout competition. As you found last season sometimes it goes for you and sometimes against.
Hard luck lads, was rooting 4 u. I have to ask you though, does 31million still seem like a good deal for Berbatov? :)
The biggest and best club in the world.... They won.
If you ask me, United need a creative player LIKE Iniesta or Kaka to run midfield with great passing and passing only. Carrick put up against Xavi and Iniesta pretty much alone in midfield was crazy. Dzeko and Gourcuff in please :)
First of all congratulations barcelona,u deserved to win.Secondly I don't really feel the need for an addition in our midfield. We already have 4 players fighting for a slot in the centre of our midfield,a 5th one and someone will have to leave. For me its time for anderson to stand up and be counted. He,too, has to contribute in terms of scoring from the midfield and ofcourse Nani is another one.If these two can improve their game then a lot of pressure can be taken off from ronaldo.
Anderson should dedicate some time in accuracy and Nani in decision making.Hopefully they will do it this summer. It will make UTD so much more better.
Being a Chelsea supporter it pains me to admit that I honestly feel you've got a better squad than Barcelona. You just decided not to show up on the wrong day, which is a little perplexing.
This game proved that the importance of a holding midfielder cannot go unnoticed. We had no options to be serious. This game reminded me so much of the milan game,we were totally bossed in the midfield area, the supply line was totally cut off.A holding player was required to disrupt their play but we had none.Anyways next year, hopefully.
Just stopped crying, through laughing.

To be honest we had no choice in terms of our midfield. Hargreaves and Fletcher are the only DMs we have and both were missing. If pool were missing alonso and Mascherano they'd of been over run too. Anderson is young and therefore inconsistent with his performances (like ronaldo used to be), unfortunately at the top level it costs you games. But still, we have no need for rash changes, a fully fit squad, with maybe the addition of a striker to replace Tevez will do just fine next year - FOUR IN A ROW!!!!!!!!
i seem to remember evra spouting on about men against boys after the semi final at the emirates i wonder if the gobby little sh**te is still spouting the same old tosh today, what goes around comes around perhaps he will learn to keep his big gob shut in future
cornish gooner
zae, well done. toatally right - i'd bet that every single person writing on here, their team won LESS than Manchester United this season. 4 trophies... fantastic achievement. we didn't perform against Barca, but no shame in that. a fantastic season, best in England, second only to a brilliant team in Europe.
Man utd champions
