No Boozing In Rome

No Boozing In Rome

It will be a tad difficult to get drunk in Rome for those who prepare to do it as the Italian authorities introduced a few measures to minimise the risk of crowd troubles.

Reuters report that 'alcohol in glass containers cannot be sold in the zones around the stadium from 16:00 UK time on Tuesday before Wednesday's match until 05:00 on Thursday.

The sale of any 'takeaway' alcohol is also banned from 16:00 to 23:00 on Tuesday in the same areas, while the restrictions also apply to all Rome metro and train stations, as well as the port of Civitavecchia.'

Which effectively means that those intending to down a few pints or who are eager to experiment with some short drinks available there must A) purchase their booze earlier or B) get it in pubs. Good luck to them!
