Park: Moscow Was Painful But I Kept The Faith

Park: Moscow Was Painful But I Kept The Faith

Ji-sung Park is likely to start in Rome in six days' time as United attempt to secure a second successive Champions League trophy. After leaving him out of the 18-man squad in Moscow last season, Sir Alex promised the winger that he would be involved.

'It was very disappointing because players want to play in big games like the Champions League final.

'If they do not play it hurts. I think it was the biggest disappointment of my career. Our team wins titles and I am happy because I am in a good team but still it was heartbreaking.

'But after that I believed Manchester United would again reach the final and I worked hard and now I have one more chance and this time it is different to last season.''

Park also added that he wouldn't attempt to console those who'll be left out this time as he knows only too well that in these times, a player is inconsolable.

'You can't say anything to them because it's heartbreaking.'
