'If It's Football, It's Vital'

For Trophies Ronaldo Must Stay At United

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to win things - that's the opinion of David Gill but it's a view that every man with a little common sense shares, I think, as it's quite obvious. Gill therefore argues that the Portuguese should stay at Old Trafford - and he's quite certain he will do just that.

'All we know is you just have to see our dressing room after the game yesterday, after we win a trophy.

'Footballers want to win things and I think any footballer would recognise he has much more chance of winning things, certainly in the short to medium term, at Manchester United than Real Madrid.'

Excellent point, well made. Our club is a well-run institution with a fabulous manager and a brilliant club while Real Madrid are in total disarray. Gill also added he was sure the Spanish press would start speculating again this summer but that does not change the club's stance: Ronaldo is not for sale.

To be serious I really don't care now.It was last season that most people felt what if ronaldo leaves, what happens then?but this season he has been good,by no way exceptional and we all expected it after that incredible season and I have always been one of those who believes that every player is replaceable,we don't have to replace ronaldo with ronaldo,a different kind of player would also do.Now it really is in ronaldo's hand,he has seen what we have achieved and what real have, its not rocket science.

whatever u do please don't test the fan's and the manager's patience again.I hope you use the wisdom God has provided u with over the money of real.It will lead u on the right path and develop ur career even further.

On a more surprising note I just heard Mr.Wenger express an interest in the new madrid project. It would be the shock of the summer.

The main use of Ronaldo was his scoring goals, crucial goals. We should buy a fast target-man esp. Benzema, who will score necessary goals/ Rooney can play at the right and we need a top-class left winger (maybe Ribery, he plays at the left flank).. but i can't accomodate Berbatov in this scheme.. otherwise SAF can play 442 with Berba alongside other striker, with Rooney playing right or left winger.. Rooney is always crucial for us, not Ronaldo..

as a Chelsea fan it hurts me to say that your club is the biggest club in the world and NO PLAYER should set himself above the club! The way Ronaldo has been acting over the last years is just ridicolous and If I were a Man u fan I would want him gone. He is the ebst player in the world, no doubt and if he left you would be a lesser side but you guys always seem to come back even stronger when you loose your big players. Just like no one tought Ronaldo could replace Beckham and Rooney to replace Nistleroy. Im afraid if Ronaldo leaves rednose will have a replacement ready. Gratz with the title i'm 100% sure you will beat Barca.. they can't play english teams at all.. Still hope Barca wins but you will win it i'm afraid!

I do expect you to win the CL final. If you pull it off, what another historic season--and to think you were less convincing this year than last.
