What Shall We Sing To Giggs Now?
Ryan Giggs has no doubts that this current United squad is the strongest ever he played in. And I'm inclined to accept the opinion of a man who boasts 11 league titles now!
'Squad wise, this is the strongest I have been part of,' he said. 'Team wise, it is the best partly because of what we have already achieved but also what we could do in the future as well.
'We have been there and done it. We have won leagues and we have won a Champions League. Hopefully we can win another.'
Which is all good and rosy but there is a real, scary problem here: apart from the old favourite 'Ryan Giggs, Ryan Giggs, running down the wing', what shall we now sing to the old Wizard? I mean, 'He won it eleven times' doesn't quite have the same ring to it, it's stretching the tune to breaking point...
