Rio: It's Sweeter Because Of Liverpool's Record

Rio Ferdinand believes this title is very, very sweet because of equalling Liverpool's record of 18 league crowns. And just like his boss he's aiming for next season now.

'There's definitely an added satisfaction to this title win because we've equalled Liverpool's record,' he said.

'The fact that we've beaten to do it means it's a really sweet feeling.

'Overtaking that record is definitely the next aim now.'

Also, as a good captain should, he said 'thank you' to the fans who 'travel far and wide and spend a lot of money coming to watch us week in, week out and for a lot of them it`s what they live for.'

True enough. We also thank you, Rio!

I for one would also like to thank all our rival supporters for coming out and applauding our team, yes we all understand the rivalry but when credit is given where credit is due,it feels good.

Merlin that makes no sense..the subject is not how many times liverpool have won the premiership its how many times they have won the TITLE...Youre just ranting because your team Chelsea are nowhere near 18 titles and cant sustain a title challenge past December...YOUR TEAM IS CRAP!
