Dunne Attempts To Influence The Referee

Dunne Attempts To Influence The Referee

Richard Dunne, king of own goals and captain of the massive club, suggested Ronaldo 'makes the most' of challenges during games. It looks like he's playing the referee card, as Moyes did so successfully ahead of the Cup semi-final.

'At times he can be running so fast any nick sends him tumbling. He makes the most of the situation, I suppose.

'Some referees give free-kicks but some don't. He is the best player in the world and he plays the game to his advantage.'

Obviously, he hopes that tomorrow's referee won't give free-kicks - as they usually don't when Ronaldo is hacked down by City's not very skilled players. Remember Michael Ball? He made the most of the situation when he stamped on Ronaldo who was lying on the ground. Was he sent off? No.

Was Wilson Palacios sent off after a horror challenge on Ronaldo? No, he wasn't even booked! So I can't really blame him for going to ground, trying to avoid the butchers hunting him down...
