United Won't Splash The Cash

Sir Alex is unsure about how many new faces will arrive at United as right now he's not looking to bring in anyone.

'We won't be going for a lot of players this summer.

'We have a big squad at the moment and I can honestly say there is no-one we have identified that we want to bring here at the moment.

'We have had a look at quite a few players over the year as we normally do but we are not looking to add a lot of players to our squad.'

Well, I love our current squad but stagnating is never good - you've got to stay ahead of your challengers, and that's Fergie's philosophy as well. A little new blood never goes amiss so I'd expect one or two new signings.

I don't agree with the stagnating comment Zae.At Utd what we have is a lot of young talent which is only going to get better and another thing I would like to add is the versatility of most of our players and in which department should we add.

For me a lot depends on the fitness of hargreaves, brown and fabio. If these three guys are fit and ready for next season then I wouldn't even mind if we don't buy as atleast the first two are very versatile, just get tevez signed up and that will be more than enough for me.

we'll replace tevez with a goalscorer and that will probably be it. I think Benzema will be the target if Lyon fail to qualify for the champions league (which is looking likely) and if we can't get him, I imagine we'll go for a temporary striker with a bit of experience - someone like Milito, Trezeguet or Fabiano. Or fergie could suprise us all and waste his money on ribery!
