Berba, Kaka, Raul: Who'll Laugh Off City Next?

It looks like City wanted to show their importance ahead of their cup final. Sadly, they only managed to ridicule themselves again... The massive club tried to attract Real Madrid captain Raul to play in a stadium that's never full...

'When they told me of City's offer I didn't have a single moment's doubt.' was Raul's all too predictable answer, to which his agent added:

'Yes, it's true that there has been interest and nothing more.

'When I told Raul about the offer he told me he didn't want to waste time on this matter.'

First it was Berbatov who indicated to City that he'd rather play for a genuinely big club. In January Kaka opted to stay at an aging and mediocre AC Milan rather than joining Citeh... and now Raul laughed them off, Raul whose team have been recently savaged 6-2 at home in their biggest game of the season...

And to think they seriously believed in signing Ronaldo!

Well,to tell u the truth it depends there are players who would go for money and may be even believe in their project and there are others out there who would go to the more known, established clubs but what I would say is that don't be surprised if they manage to get someone big.

The project that they have is nothing fantasy but for it to work out it will take two or three years minimum,so I don't expect a player who is 27 or 28 to really enter this project,a young player would make sense for both the parties. If the project doesn't work out he will still have enough time to move on and join another big club and still have a good chance to win the champions league and city would be able to recover the cash as well.

I can see them bidding on LOADS of players this summer. The VillI can see them bringing in one or two strikers i,e, Drogba, Santa Cruz, Gudjohnsen or Owen. I can also see them getting a couple of midfielders i.e. Ronaldinho, Diego, Bentley or Yaya Toure. I can also see them going for Kolo Toure, Cannavaro, Lescott and maybe even Buffon.
