Ronaldo: Madrid Dream Is Dead Now

Ronaldo: Madrid Dream Is Dead Now

Cristiano Ronaldo gave his strongest indication yet that he wanted to stay at United. But of course, you can never be sure....

"I`m no longer thinking of Madrid. That dream is dead.

'The only thing I dream about now is Manchester United and winning the Champions League again in Rome."

That's quite unambigous but it's difficult to believe. Still, if he got home in time to watch Madrid being outclassed by Barcelona in the Bernabeu, he probably felt grateful to Sir Alex for not letting him leave last summer!

Considering they'll be lying in Barca's shadow for some years to come, why would he want to go there? Coupled with the fact that, they're absolutely atrocious in Europe!

I'll believe it on september 1st 2009. IF he does stay and we can keep our young core of players together for the next 3-5 years, we COULD be about to witness something historic. But i wont get my hopes up just yet!
