Fergie Has Complete Faith In Anderson

Fergie Has Complete Faith In Anderson

Anderson had mixed fortunes this season: before his injury in March he never really got going to be honest. However, since his return he's back to his energetic, tireless best and looks set to start at Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.

Still, Fergie's assessment of him came as a surprise: he earmarked Anderson as the eventual successor of Paul Scholes. While I like the little Brazilian a lot I must say he gives the ball away a lot more often than Scholes does - and his shooting and heading ability are nowhere near those of the Ginger Ninja.

'Anderson is going to replace Paul Scholes,' Fergie said.

'He is an outstanding talent. He has fantastic speed and strength and he is only 21.'

But will he ever score??!

'We are all lighting candles for that.'
