Rafael To Start Against Spurs

Rafael To Start Against Spurs

For the first time since weeks, we'll have our strongest defensive line-up available when Spurs visit Old Trafford. Judged on performances, Rafael has been the best right-back at United this season and his recovery - and his apparent good form - is a tremendous boost, especially as Wes Brown is almost ready to make his first-team comeback.

'Wes played and did OK,' Fergie confirmed, referring to Brown's second reserve outing this week.

'It`s a bit early for him to start a match, but it`s good that he`s back.'

'We've had a great deal of trouble at right back this season. Now we have Wes and young Rafael available. Rafa did well against Portsmouth and he'll start against Tottenham.'

So will Rio Ferdinand who, as we've already reported, has overcome his groin problem and is ready to play against Spurs and Arsenal, too.

will be a great game and certainly an entertaining one. Rafael will have a tough test against an in form Modric. Cant wait for the match.

None of the top 4 have beaten spurs this season, so I'm expecting a tough game. Predicting an injury time winner for United - hopefully from Berba - he really needs a goal!

this game should hold no fear for spurs....i expect lennon and modric to give the united full backs a real test, while palacious will break up the midfield play aswell as he always does.

As a Tottenham supporter if i were Harry i would play Lennon at outside left against Rafael the reason being Rafael is a robust speedy good player who hates losing the ball so he kicks fouls and will do anything to get the ball back so right away we have a utd player on spurs side ie he will kick Lennon every chance he gets hence given us all the free kicks under the sun and with Lennon`s speed he Rafael will try his level best to bring him down think on Harry ! ! ! COYS ! ! !

I totally agree with Zae,this is our best defence and if we want to be a bit defensive, brown can be played at right back.Hopefully both will stay fit till the end of the season.
