For the first time since weeks, we'll have our strongest defensive line-up available when Spurs visit Old Trafford. Judged on performances, Rafael has been the best right-back at United this season and his recovery - and his apparent good form - is a tremendous boost, especially as Wes Brown is almost ready to make his first-team comeback.
'Wes played and did OK,' Fergie confirmed, referring to Brown's second reserve outing this week.
'It`s a bit early for him to start a match, but it`s good that he`s back.'
'We've had a great deal of trouble at right back this season. Now we have Wes and young Rafael available. Rafa did well against Portsmouth and he'll start against Tottenham.'
So will Rio Ferdinand who, as we've already reported, has overcome his groin problem and is ready to play against Spurs and Arsenal, too.
