Cole Wants Title Fight

A bout of nerves, or simply making the most of a press opportunity? But whatever, Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole says he wants the title race to go to the wire. Yeah!

Cole: 'United are stringing wins together and they are making a fight of it. You would expect that from a great club with a great boss in Alex Ferguson.

'He has got his team playing well and with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Louis Saha, Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs they have some wonderful players.

'They are gelling as a team and they are putting the pressure on us. But that's great - it's what we need.

'It can only bring the best out of us. We are not looking over our shoulders. We know we need four wins to win the league whatever Manchester United do so we just focus on that.

'We just go out there and try to win games. Some people don't like the way we play but we are playing the way we have always played in the last two years.

'I don't think the players take much notice of anything like that. They just want to play football and the boss wouldn't have it any other way.

'The main thing for me is to concentrate on winning the Premier League and the FA Cup. Anything else on top of that would be marvellous but the main thing is winning those two trophies.

'I have got no doubts United are going to push us all the way. We are lucky enough that we have got it in our hands to win the title. It all depends on our own results so that has got to stay the focus.'
