United Only Need To Win ONE Game
Forget about pressure, fatigue and the unique atmosphere of playing in Europe because the whole equation is so simple: Manchester United have to win a game to progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Unfortunately it can't be any old game - we cannot just invite Stalybridge and beat them in a friendly kickabout at Old Trafford. But Paul Scholes reckons that beating Porto is not impossible.
'All we've got to do at Porto is win a football match,' said Scholes.
'With the players we've got I'm sure we can do it.'
But in all honesty, it should never have come to this. United, on paper, are vastly superior to this Porto side and we should have won the first leg handily. Pity that on the pitch we did not look that good...
But Scholes is right: we have the players, we'll have injured players returning and we might have our confidence returning after keeping our title challenge intact. There is hope.
