Kiko Is A Bit Special

Kiko Is A Bit Special

Predictably, most of the post-match talk is about Kiko Macheda: the Italian scored an unintended winner at Sunderland to send United back on top of the table.

'He's got something special about him, the boy,' Fergie said.

'He has a good eye for goal, a terrific physique and is not shy about playing under pressure - that's credit to him.

'He wasn't fazed by anything. Right away, he got involved in the game and he had a good 20 minutes for us.'

He's willing to move off the ball, fight for it, take on people: he's got the talent, definitely. As for the rest of the team... well, Fergie was right to say that it's the three points that matters...

Now the big job: Porto, where we have to win. Surely it's beyond even Macheda to save us again if we don't play well enough? Surely?

Well, with all this hype made about this guy, I'm sure he'll be a flop (unless a miracle happens, of course). There have been so many who have had short time success. He's got to take it responsibly and not let the praise get to his head. Remember , he's only 17.
