Ronaldo Totally Overlooked - Now There's A Rarity

The delirium of yesterday's 3-2 win over Aston Villa can still be felt - and most of the praise, rightly, goes Federico Macheda's way. And the other man who made a crucial contribution to the game is overshadowed, even overlooked - and that's something he's not used to.

I'm talking about Cristiano Ronaldo of course who has scored two brilliant goals - and has done bugger all apart from that. How strange is that... I found his attitude quite disturbing, he's just too afraid of physical duels which is a novelty, for his courage was always one of his greatest strengths, whatever his critics might say.

But in the end it was his equaliser, which he created out of nothing, that put us back on the way, which was the bedrock of the bedlam of the last 10 minutes. Without that piece of brilliance United would never have mustered the momentum required to blow Villa away in that final stage of the game. So while Macheda richly deserves all the plaudits, a quiet thanks should be said to Ronaldo as well...

ronaldo has had his moments as well and I don't think he will mind sharing the spotlight with kiko. Also just heard that he has claimed to be happy at manchester utd.Now I don't know what to make of this but atleast this sounds better than"only god knows the future".So I'll take this.

Forgotten because for once he just got on with his job instead of cheating, diving and winding the opposition fans up. Sure even you united fans must prefer this Ronaldo to the cry-baby primmadonna?

yeah....Ronaldo's goal was soo important....I couldn't believe it it came from nothing....and tbh I haven't seen him much this season come in and step up to do what is necessary to lift the team till this match....both goals were absolutely brilliant... But man Macheda goal and the circumstance and the timing of it everything about it was the stuff made of dreams...this is why its getting more of a spotlight....but we need all our players performing as we did in that last 10mins and maybe another treble or maybe more could be on the cards

Ronaldo's goals were important, but I no longer value Ronaldo as I once did; he doesn't seem to want to be there. The last two seasons when Ronaldo's been scoring for fun, I've highlighted Rooney's importance, but now it's finally showing through, and he's being recognised as the one on whom United's form depends to an extent, and that Ronaldo if things don't go well disappears.
