Tevez Still In Love With Us - But For How Long?

Tevez Still In Love With Us - But For How Long?

Once again, for the umpteenth time, Carlos Tevez declared that he wanted to stay at Manchester United. The Argentinian forward still hasn't been secured on a permanent deal and indeed things look like he'll never be.

However, Tevez is still keen on staying.

'My loan deal ends in June but I cannot think of any team except United,' Tevez told Sport Magazine.

'The United fans love me and my family is very happy, both in Manchester and in England.'

'My thoughts are only about winning titles with United, and if this happens then I hope I will still be here next season.

'I do not want to play with any other team. I always follow my heart, and my heart is telling me it will be impossible for me to leave English football.'

Admirable commitment, of course, especially in the face of the countless promises which were broken by United in this affair: it was promised, for example, that Tevez would be signed up before the end of 2008.

Both Gill and Fergie guaranteed that Carlos Tevez would stay but there's only silence coming out of Old Trafford on this matter now. In these circumstances I wonder how long Tevez's love for United will last...
