Keane For United One Last Time?

Manchester United will play Celtic in Roy Keane's testimonial at Old Trafford on Tuesday, May 9.

The ex-United midfielder has always been critical of testimonial games, and this match will just be two days before Celtic travel to St James' Park for Alan Shearer's own testimonial.

Keane is expected to donate most of the proceeds to charity and has already declared his intention to release 1,000 free tickets to local Manchester schools and United supporters' clubs.

It is thought Keane will play for Celtic one half, and Manchester United the other.

Keane: 'I am grateful to Manchester United for awarding me a testimonial game and to Celtic for agreeing to participate in it.

'I look forward to returning to express my appreciation to the fans for the support that they had given me over the last 12 years.'
