Scholes: Fergie Would Collapse!

We all remember that horrible night when Jose Mourinho's Porto, aided by Tim Howard's mistake and the less than keen eye of the linesman who spotted an offside that never was, knocked us out of the European Cup. That defeat in 2004 was painful - but not entirely unexpected.

We also remember how Mourinho performed a sprint down the touchline to the East Stand when Costinha poked in the winning goal and we'd all loath to see him doing it again tomorrow. If we win, however, there will be no raucous celebrations from our boss, Paul Scholes reckons.

'At his age? He'd probably collapse. 'It would be nice to see, but I don't think our manager goes in for that type of thing. He will probably stand up, have a little clap and be pleased we have gone through.'

I'd say it depends on the manner of the victory (IF, and it's a big if I know, we win): a last-minute winner would probably be greeted by the demented seal routine we witnessed at Anfield in March 2007. If it's a comfortable enough victory then Scholes' prediction will come true.

I remember asking for a similar style of celebration from fergie in one of my posts but taking into account his age I guess he will only hop around his dugout, maybe we could make mike phelan run for him if we won.
