Tevez Deal To Be Concluded At Last?

The Mirror believes United will soon complete a permanent deal for Carlos Tevez. The Argentinian's future has been in doubt for some time now and fresh claims emerged every day so it's hard to know what to believe now.

The paper reports that the total amount we pay MSI could reach the Ł30m mark. The deal will soon be signed as Sir Alex was impressed with Tevez's contribution since Rooney's injury.

It's true that finally Carlos grasped his chance to show that he indeed deserves that contract. For all the sympathy he received, he's offered little more than a lot of hard work and honest endeavour this season. These things are admirable but you expect more from a player who scored 19 goals in his debut season.

United might be better off with a striker who's got more pace (that's why it was worth persevering with Saha...) but at least, if the deal were to go through, we'd have a proven player who doesn't need time to settle in and who is loved by the fans. I pray that it works out well.

Here I was thinking that most MU fans didn't want him. £30million does seem a lot in the current economic climate, surely you could get Benzema for that kind of money? Real Madrid won't be able to afford him after they've paid you £80m for Ronaldo, so guess that leaves us for you to worry about and I'm not sure he's what we need either.
