There's Only One English Club For Beckham

There's Only One English Club For Beckham

David Beckham's career has turned upwards again: he's back from the US, playing in one of the best European leagues in a side with title aspirations. He's now fighting for a permanent contract which Milan would be all too happy to give him - the only obstacle is the resistance of LA Galaxy who want to keep him.

So, there's plenty to occupy his mind. Yet he does have the time to be musing about a possible return to England... which will not happen, for a single - and simple - reason.

'But I don't think I will return to the Premier League because the only return I would have liked was Manchester United.

'I enjoyed 15 great years there and it would be the only team I would play for if I returned home.

'Manchester United are not one of the teams who contacted me though.'

You'll be always welcome here, David, even though I don't think he could contribute much to this current United team... Milan fans, however, are pleasantly surprised, judging by what I have read on football forums: they expected some lazy overhyped superstar - instead they got a hard-working midfielder with great passing and fantastic crossing.
