Time For Rooney To Score Against West Ham

The good news: Wayne Rooney has recovered from his hamstring injury and is building up his fitness now. He might even feature at West Ham United on Sunday as United aim to keep up their good form and great run of results.

The bad news: Rooney hasn't scored against West Ham since the autumn of 2005 when he scored the equaliser in a 2-1 win at Upton Park. Since then we've had mixed fortunes, to put it mildly, against the Hammers, with Rooney missing United's best game against them: last May's 4-1 win at Old Trafford which took us within touching distance of the title.

As you probably remember, Rooney had scored in his last game, six minutes before he was forced to leave the pitch. It would be brilliant if 1) he was fit enough to play at the Boleyn Ground 2) he picked up where he left off against Wigan. Here's hoping.

I just hope he's fit and ready to go come Sunday! He's such an important player for us!
