Hargreaves Will Be Ready In Time...

Owen Hargreaves will be fit for the next season, claims Sir Alex Ferguson. The midfielder had an injury-ravaged but impressive debut season which culminated in his perfect penalty in Moscow. However, the new campaign was barely a few games old when Hargreaves' knee problems flared up again...

This time, after some feeble attempts to find another solution, it was decided that surgery was necessary. The midfielder has had two surgeries and they went well, according to himself and the doctors. We've missed him and will miss him in the latter stages of the campaign but won't miss him next season.

'Owen had a second operation last week and it was completely successful,' said Sir Alex.

'It was better than the last one, which was much more difficult. This one is completely clear and I am certain he will be ready for the start of next season.'

Well, to cite an old cliché: that will be like a new signing for United's midfield.
