Anderson, Evans: Three Weeks In The Stands

It's not unexpected, is it? Every season we seem to have one or two patches when players go down with injuries as if machine gunned... Redknapp will field a mishmash Spurs side tomorrow - Sir Alex has no choice but to follow his example.

In his morning press conference, the manager revealed that Anderson's injury is not as bad as first feared and he'll be out for three weeks only. And this was the good news, let's hear the rest.

'Nani suffered a groin injury and he`ll be out for a week. Jonny Evans will be out for three weeks.'

'The ones who are out are Rio Ferdinand, Anderson, Nani, Rafael, Patrice Evra, Wayne Rooney, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans and Ji-sung Park.'

The latter has got a hamstring injury so is added to the list of eleven we comprised yesterday. Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs are available though so the list consists of precisely 10 injured first-teamers.

Two of them, Rio Ferdinand and Wes Brown could be back for the game against Everton on the Monday after next - if it's not brought forward to Saturday because of an FA Cup replay. Let's hope we beat Spurs and Everton either beat or lose to Liverpool.

No further news of the possible return date of Rooney and Evra but we can assume that they will be back for the clash at West Ham on the weekend after the Everton game. As it is unlikely that we'll beat Everton with such an under-strength side, I pray that they will indeed be available for the visit to Upton Park.

Didn't really have a place for me to write this, and I try to stay out of other clubs forums - just wanted to say I recently watched a long interview with Vidic here in the states and thought he was a really really nice guy, smiles constantly off the pitch. Not like I thought he would be at all!

in the defence I would like to see fabio getting a chance and o'shea and vidic in the centre with gary on the right.
