'If It's Football, It's Vital'

They Went For Kaka, They Returned With Bellamy!

Manchester City, oh dear, the single most hilarious team in the world. On the last day of the transfer window they suddenly got obscenely rich and started to put in bids for everyone whom they've heard about in Football Manager 2008. They ended up with Robinho and told us that they would be challenging for a Champions League place.

The reality, though, is that City are now fighting against relegation, their defending is comedy at times and they lost their cup final as well. Never mind though, they wanted to pull off the big thing and put a bid in for Kaka. A bid of Ł100m or something which would be enough to get them a proper team, but no, they went for the big name.

And guess what? The big name told them to do one. Well that was unexpected, that was. Who'd have thought that one of the best players in the world, fighting for the Serie A title with his club where he is loved above all, would not want to fight against relegation in the Premier League? Oh.

But never mind, City are not to be deterred. They went and splashed fourteen million - FOURTEEN MILLION - pounds on CRAIG BELLAMY. This deal is not worth 14 million. This is absolutely priceless: instead of one of the best players in the world they ended up with... Bellamy! They never disappoint us, do they?

italia7482 - So little to spend, we just spent 16 mil in the Jan transfer window on two youngsters and 31 mil last summer. All these debt jokes are getting really old! Try again!

It appears that both FlaketanRonnie and OneflewoverRobinohosnest are so desperate to get to Real Madrid that they will fly thro the IN door there and then straight thro the OUT door with Ronnie landing at citeh and Robinho at Manure!!....and both saying at their first press conferences..."Oh yes, I always wanted to play for Chelsea"! Uhmm!!!!!!

Hello Lads. Please don't worry about us over at City, we're fine. Honest. And very much looking forward to the second half of the season. But I must admit to being a tad concerned at the paucity of Manure participation here, indeed if it wasn't for the fans of other clubs you might as well pack it in! To help out I'm going to pop back from time to time and keep an eye on things. Please, no need to thank me. Anyway, let's keep the mood light and no cursing and PLEASE try and make an effort with the spelling and grammer. If you're not sure how to spell a word either look it up (in a dictionary) or use a word you're more familiar with. Laters lads and ciao for now x
