Gary Neville makes his 500th Man Utd appearance on Sunday and he says no other club could ever tempt him away from Old Trafford.
Thirteen years after making his debut as a substitute in a UEFA Cup draw with Torpedo Moscow, Neville will become only the eighth player to make 500 appearances for United. For all the trophies and triumphs, his proudest moment remains his debut, even though it only lasted three minutes and he never actually kicked the ball.
Neville: 'I love playing for Manchester United. If I was to move anywhere else, my love for the game and my desire and determination just could not be the same.
'It is for the manager and coaches to judge me but I am 31 now and feeling great. I don't believe my fitness is slipping and I will just keep going as hard as I can, for as long as I can, doing as well as I can.
'Hopefully that will take me to 35, which is when Denis Irwin left, but I recognise four seasons is a long time and my main aim at the moment is still to be here at the start of next season.
'I have been a professional at United for 15 years now and it is impossible to think the same way throughout that time.
'You need regenerating and you need to refocus your mind. Sometimes it comes from within, sometimes it comes from talking to people on the outside.
'All the lads who came through together would acknowledge the best times of their careers were at United because of what we achieved together.
'No player who plays at this club should ever be stupid enough to think the grass is greener elsewhere because it isn't.
'I have listened to players who have left this club over the last five years or so and have never heard anyone say they enjoy it more than they did when they were playing at Manchester United.'
