Goodbye, Senor Calderon!

Goodbye, Senor Calderon!

Never mind United going top for the first time this season or Citeh signing Kaka; the big news of the weekend is that Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon resigned amid allegations of vote-rigging.

Well, I can't help laughing at him. All those hollow promises of signing Kaka, Fabregas and of course our very own Ronaldo; not one of them he managed to pull off.

His chase for Ronaldo was as shameful as poor; he proved to be an incompetent on the grand scale as well as a hypocrite of the worst kind. It was sickening, hearing all the talk about 'not wanting to upset United' and 'if they don't want to sell, we won't persist' after spending months making false claims and waging their media war, using Marca and AS, to unsettle Ronaldo and force United into a corner.

The Ronaldo stories won't go away and Calderon is likely to be replaced by an even bigger bastard. If it's Florentino Perez - as is expected - then he'll do his best to sign the man and he's got a reputation of getting his targets. But, fortunately, he's also got a reputation for paying insane money for them...

And in the meantime, I enjoy the fact that Real Madrid are in disarray and that Ramon Calderon can no longer trouble our lives. Goodbye, Senor Calderon!
