United Made The Mystery Bid For Palacios?

United Made The Mystery Bid For Palacios?

Wilson Palacios has long been linked with Manchester United. Wigan's Honduran midfielder has become one of the most consistent players in the Premier League and I don't doubt the claims that Fergie is an admirer of him - he put in another stellar performance on Wednesday night and seeing him excelling at Old Trafford convinced me that he could cut it at United.

However, Spurs were believed to be very close to seal a deal for the guy, signing him for Ł14m. But things have changed today: Steve Bruce confirmed that another club has joined the race and there could be interesting developments.

Many sources suggest this club is United even though Brucey insisted it's not; but as far as we know, it could be City or even Arsenal. As I said, it would make sense to sign him as our midfield is not in the best shape at the moment but Ferguson had assured everyone that there would be no more moves in January. Though of course it's possible that Spurs' bid changed his views... we'll see. He would be a good addition but we can cope without him, I'm sure.
