'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rooney Out, Others Were Limping All Over The Place

United gave a disjointed display but still beat Wigan 1-0 thanks to Wayne Rooney's early goal. The striker had to be substituted with a hamstring injury after only eight minutes and faces a spell on the sidelines.

'With a hamstring you are looking at a minimum of three weeks,' Sir Alex said.

'Hopefully it is not any longer, but there is nothing you can do about it.'

His replacement Carlos Tevez also picked up an injury, along with many others, according to the boss.

'Carlos limped through the second half and Jonny limped through virtually the whole game.'

'We will have to assess them and see how they are. We need our best team on Saturday because Bolton are a big side.'

It will be a very, very difficult afternoon at the Reebok on Saturday... We are now losing players in every game, it's not looking good.

Looks like Rooney out for a while, Berbatov has to show he is value for all that money you were forced to pay for him.
