Sparky's Doing This On Purpose!
Sorry everyone, but just can't resist discussing the news of the day. The 'new dominant force of English football', the richest club in the world, the club that's bound to sign Kaka, Messi, Buffon and the likes have crashed out of the FA Cup.
In the third round. At home. To Nottingham Forest. 0-3. This is so unbelievably hilarious that I can hardly believe they are not doing it on purpose.
Of course, Citeh's aptitude for comedy is well-known, you've just got to remember that it's now 32 years and counting since they last won anything... but if we want something more recent then there is the 8-1 drubbing on the final day of last season which they suffered at the hands of Middlesbrough. Middlesbrough, for heaven's sake!
But nothing compares to this and I have a sneaking suspicion that Sparky Hughes is doing this on purpose. He's still a red in his heart and possibly wants to give us something to laugh about. If so, he surpassed himself with this one. How long he'll get away with it, I don't know - he'll probably be sacked today.
But in the meantime - let's all laugh at Citeh!
