A Quiet Transfer Window Awaits United... Hopefully

Here's the January transfer window again... I really hate this part of the year, to be honest. Wild rumours are flying around and while I usually do my best to ignore them, they sometimes chill my blood.

Hopefully, this year's January will be uneventful enough off the pitch. One thing looks certain: Zoran Tosic will join United soon, despite certain rumours that the move was in question because of the 21-year-old winger's wage demands. Apparently, the club and the player smoothed out the details and Tosic's allegedly chosen the No. 14 shirt which seems to indicate he hasn't been bought for the reserves...

His mate Adam Ljajic is also Old Trafford bound, but he'll arrive only in the summer. The combined cost of the two Serbians is a whopping 16 million... hopefully they're worth it.

Then there's the Carlos Tevez issue. A permanent deal has still not been agreed but the player has indicated yet again that he expects his future to be at Old Trafford. The talks are believed to be going on with Kia Joorabchian, the overlord of MSI and if they come to a conclusion soon then we'll be spared the 'Tevez ready to quit United' stories.

And that's it. Expect a few feeble Ronaldo-articles and wee speculation about the future of players such as Foster, Manucho and Welbeck but nothing serious. Hopefully. Fergie doesn't plan any further action, anyway.

"That's the end of the transfer business for Manchester United this season. There definitely won't be anything else in January."

I, for one, don't mind that.

What other position are we missing? We now have a huge squad and strong depth. I'll be surprised if we even do any business in the summer!
