'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rossi No Go!

Ipswich and Preston have enquired about 19-year-old American-born Italian Giuseppe Rossi, trying to take him on loan before the Thursday deadline.

But Fergie insists they are wasting their time, because the kid is staying at Old Trafford.

Football League clubs have until Thursday to bring players in on emergency loan deals and Rossi has already caught the eye with four goals for the Red Devils first team, in addition to his amazing haul of 26 at reserve-team level.

Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant Carlos Queiroz has confirmed he will not be going: 'Giuseppe will not go out on loan this season. He is still working under the programme we set him at the beginning of the season and it will end as planned at the end of the season.

'We have nothing in our minds about letting him go out on loan before then, although next season is another story and maybe then we can open up that possibility.'
