Squad's Desperately Depleted For The Spurs Clash

We could be in for a rough evening at White Hart Lane as Fergie is set to field a less than full strength side due to injuries and suspensions.

Dimitar Berbatov is struggling with a sore achilles so he might miss out on a return to his old hunting ground where he would be greeted most warmly without a doubt... maybe not.

Michael Carrick, another former Spurs player, is also a doubt but he's got the best chance to make it, according to Fergie. Cristiano Ronaldo could play as a striker if Berbatov does not make but his hip injury casts doubt on his availability as well. And Rio Ferdinand's got a back problem sustained against Aalborg.

As we know, Wayne Rooney and Patrice Evra are banned because of yellow cards so we are not in the best situation. In the worst case we might be forced to field this team:

Van der Sar - Rafael, Evans, Vidic, O'Shea - Park, Anderson, Fletcher, Nani - Giggs - Tevez.

While I trust Evans just as Fergie does and think that an Anderson-Fletcher central pairing is quite good, I have my doubts about the firepower and the width of this line-up. Giggs won't be able to hold his own for a full 90 minutes and Nani is more frustrating than anything this season... I'm not optimistic, to be honest. Fingers crossed Berba will be all right.
