Evans: Best Possible Response By Carlos

Evans: Best Possible Response By Carlos

Carlos Tevez endured a frustrating season so far. His United future has been hanging in the balance throughout the autumn, with doubts over whether the club would make his loan contract permanent.

His performances weren't the best, either, despite an encouraging start but he announced his return to form in the grand manner yesterday: scoring at least three against Blackburn - our opener supplied some job to the Dubious Goals' Panel but he could still be credited with it.

'The goals were the best way for Carlos to respond,' said Jonny Evans who wasn't as impressive as he usually is.

'He is a real fighter and he will never shy away from that.

'The fans know what Carlos is all about. He works hard every time he is on the pitch and it will do him good to get his name on the scoresheet.

'No matter what is happening, his work-rate is always phenomenal. He just can't help himself, which is great for the team.'

But that in itself should not be enough to grant him a place I think but yesterday he delivered quality not just workrate which should be enough for him to keep his place.
