'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Giggs Not Surprised By Villa

Ryan Giggs admitted that Villa could pose a serious threat to United tomorrow as Martin O'Neill built a very gifted side there.

"It is important for us to win on Saturday. We can`t really afford any more mistakes as we`re already behind Chelsea and Liverpool at the top.'

"That result [their win at Arsenal] wasn`t a surprise because Villa can do that to teams.

'They have quality and pace and have been there or thereabouts near the top for the past couple of years.

'Martin O`Neill has added a few more players this season and they are a quality side. They have some really dangerous players, especially going forward - Agbonlahor, Carew, Young.'

We have a fantastic record at Villa Park but I have a very bad feeling about tomorrow's game... I feel we shall lose and thus rule ourselves out of the title running.

Hopefully I'm wrong!

I know, Zae, that is exactly my feelings, unfortunately. I do worry about it, because many of the teams we normally do well against, we've slipped up to (Newcastle, Everton, Liverpool etc). We have won games we wouldn't necessarily normally win (Blackburn A for one) but I do just fear about this game. I think either we win, and win well, or, though I very much hope not, we lose. I do just have this negative feeling about the game - it worries me

Speaking as a Villa fan dude, we hate playing you guys. It seems like Villa Park has become a home away from home for you over the last 10-15 years - everyone knows our record against you is dismal. But, as ever, I'll have my fingers crossed and my eyes glued to the game this afternoon - and as much as I hope you guys win the title over the other 'big four', I hope you don't further that bid against us today. One other thing seeing as the article came from his words...yours will look a lesser team, and a strange one, without Giggsy in it when he decides to hang up his boots, be it this season or next. Fantastic servant of your club, and the supplier of many wonderful moments of football for all fans, regardless of what club they support.
