Fergie Banned As Expected

Sir Alex Ferguson has been handed a fine and a two-match touchline ban after admitting a charge of improper conduct.

United's manager remonstrated with Mike Dean after the 4-3 victory over Hull as he was deeply unhappy with the officiating, particularly with the decision to not to award a second yellow card to Michael Turner who brought down Carrick on the edge of the area.

Fergie shall now only watch from the stands as United take on Blackburn in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup and won't sit on the bench against Sunderland in the league game after that.

Pretty much as expected, really. They've got to get to him at least once every season.
